Dear pole barn guru: looking at a 40×60 pole barn on my 80 acre property. weighing all the usual options, but the biggest issue that i have is the site. there is a couple degree down-hill pitch towards the site that the building will be built.. I show you how we pour a 3 bay garage concrete floor that has 3 trench drains, one for each bay. as we pour the concrete, we pitch each bay to the trench drain. we use a laser level to establish a. Re: floor drain install in pole building; author: ccrider (mn) this will be my work shop/repair shop and storage for way to many motorcycle parts acquired over the years. when the floor needs scrubbing with soap and water, and hand clean up, thats about all the use these drains will ever see.. My pole barn project has finally started to take shape. the builders are here & will be done in a week with the shell. i am now thinking ahead to my concrete floor. the 3 bays that get used the most, i am thinking of installing in them a floor drain with a setup similar to outdoor hydrants that drain into a underground gravel pit..
